In Memory of our dear friend Susan O'opare who wrote this tribute to her country while she was a student at Goroka Christian Academy.

"What PNG Citizenship means to Me:"

Susan O'opare writes:

I count it a blessing and a privilege to be a citizen of Papua New Guinea! I am so thankful to be a citizen where there is freedom for all of us to enjoy - most of all the freedom to worship God freely at anytime, anywhere.

Though I consider it a joy and honor to be a PNG citizen, I know I have certain responsibilities to undertake to show my love for my country. These responsibilities include: making peace, working to earn, respecting other's property, honoring and obey authority, and not throwing rubbish everywhere.

Though PNG citizenship requires our strength, time, and money, God has trusted us, and placed us in this beautiful country to be good citizens.

   C. S. (as in cspng.org) can also mean "common sense," so let us who are PNG citizens strive to use common sense in our daily decisions to do what is best for our Nation.

Our citizenship must not be taken lightly, or taken for granted. We must help the world to see that we PNG citizens have respect for our Nation.

Susan, we will never forget you, and we will continue the fight for the Biblical reforms you so strongly believed in.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord..."
